Visitors and locals have always known that Noosa’s restaurants rule, but now it’s official with a swag of recent awards presented to some of our stand out spots.
More than 15 of our restaurants were recognised at this year’s Sunshine Coast Restaurant and Catering Queensland Hostplus Awards, including Lindoni’s, Muse, Wasabi, The Spirit House, Rococo and Zachary’s Gourmet Pizza Bar.
The driving force behind Japanese restaurant Wasabi, Danielle Gjestland, also recently took Noosa to the national stage, winning the 2009 Electrolux Appetite for Excellence Awards Young Restaurateur of the Year - a fantastic achievement for this long time favourite that recently moved into stunning new premises on the Noosa River.
Continuing the national accolades, Wasabi, and the popular Berardo’s Restaurant & Bar, were also recently named as two of Australia’s 50 great restaurants by The Weekend Australian. This ‘A-list’ is based on more than just the end culinary product – it considers a leading attitude, strong identity and sense of fun. Great to see Noosa recognised in such a distinguished field!
And, if you’re in Noosa on 28 September, sample Berardo’s for yourself at a special lunch with Chef and TV personality Matt Moran, here to launch his new book and share trade secrets over a three-course meal.
