Pomona King of the Mountain Festival -  Taking place in July each year this family festival is free and starts with the bush poet’s breakfast at 7.00 am.  The Quarter Marathon begins at 8.00 am and the three km family fun-run begins at 8.30 am with primary school relays starting at 9.30 am.  There are plenty of rides and attractions.  The Heritage Market will be on all day with plenty of new and varied stalls.  The highlight of the day and the reason for the whole thing starts at 3.00 pm when contestants head up the mountain for the six and a half km run to the top of the mountain.  The Cooroora’s Got Talent quest will be on again and secondary college students will be entertaining you from 12.00 pm.
