Welcome to The Lookout Diary. This is going to be about our day to day life at The Lookout. It will include weather reports (what we can actually see from our windows not the rubbish in the media), beach updates and general goings on that may be of interest to visitors past, present and future. We will try and keep you informed about what is going on at The Lookout in regard to onsite improvements and interesting snippets of things happening in our part of beautiful Noosa.
Weather at the moment at The Lookout is cold and crisp overnight with glorious sunny days and fabulous sunsets. Expecting 23 degrees this weekend!
The renovation in Unit 16 at The Lookout is finished and is fabulous. Guests who have been lucky enough to stay in it have been unanimous in their praise. Hopefully we will have it up on the website soon.
In spite of the economic downturn plans to convert the Seahaven Resort on Hastings Street from the existing 48 one and two bedroom apartments to 20 three and four bedroom apartments have been passed by the Noosa Iconic Panel. It is expected that the project will have an end value of $250 million and this is obviously an endorsement of the iconic status of Noosa as a holiday destination.
The restaurant which last year was named Australia’s Best Asian Restaurant, Queensland’s Best Seafood Restaurant and Sunshine Coast Restaurant of the Year has opened on the riverfront at Quamby Place. Formerly at Sunshine Beach, Wasabi’s traditional, Japanese style tatami room will still be available and the rest of the menu remains mostly the same. If you are a lover of Japanese food this restaurant is a DO NOT MISS!
We had a great day out on the river last weekend hiring a boat from O Boats and heading off with friends for a barbecue lunch. Unfortunately Glynis left the steak at home by mistake and took a bag of mushrooms instead!! She made a great cake though! The odd shower didn’t dampen the occasion.
We will endeavour to update this regularly and hopefully it will give you some ideas for activities you can do during your holiday.
